Dua for qunoot is one of the greatest acts of worship that Allah and His Messenger have commanded us,

and Allah’s mercy has come to us by making the matter of Dua obscure, without restriction, to include all its forms.

Secretly or publicly, in prayer and outside it, individually or in groups, and in this regard, “Trends” present the formula and location of the Qunoot al-Fajr prayer.

Dua for qunoot Fajr

Qunoot- by taa – means Dua and obedience, as well as silence, which is also the length of standing in prayer.

It is said, “Quant al-Man”:

meaning he prayed against his enemy, and “Qunoot” i.e. prolonged standing in his prayer.

Many people are looking for the formula for the Dua for qunoot, al-Hasan bin Ali narrates the best Dua in qunoot, may Allah please him,

who said:

The Messenger of Allah, peace, and blessings be upon him, taught me words that I say in Witr:

”O Allah, guide me in whom you guide, and help me in whom you help,

and bless me in what you have given me and in what I have spent evil, for you are serving and will not be eliminated, and it does not humiliate whomever I have left, nor does it cherish whomever I used to,

Blessed Be Our Allah and I have recovered”. Narrated by Abu Dawud, Tirmidhi, and Hassan.

And about ‘ Umar (may Allah please with him), he recites in the morning prayer and says:

“In the name of Allah, the Most Merciful, the Most merciful, we seek your help, we seek your forgiveness,

we believe in you, we rely on you, we praise you for all the good, we thank you, we do not disbelieve you, we take off and leave whoever blows you up,

O Allah, we worship and pray to you, we prostrate ourselves to you, we seek and we mourn, we hope for your mercy and we fear your torment.

Abd al-Razzaq narrates it in his work and Bayhaqi in the people of faith.

The rule of Dua for qunoot

The imams (may Allah have mercy on them) differed on the legality of qunoot in the morning prayer, so Ahmad and Abu Hanifa went-may Allah have mercy on them-

It is not prescribed in the morning prayer, nor in other prayers, except al-witr.

When a Muslim narrated that the Prophet spent a month praying over a neighborhood of Arabs and then left it.

  • Malik and Al-Shafi’i argued that Qunoot in the Fajr prayer is a Sunnah at all times because Anas said the Messenger of Allah (saw) is still standing at dawn until the difference in the world. Narrated by Ahmed.
  • In the morning, Allah please with him in the presence of companions and others.
  • everybody knows that Dua for qunoot is a Sunnah that confirms him in the witr, as well as in the morning prayer or at dawn, and is not obligatory.
  • The prayer of qunoot is before the kneeling of the last kneel, and only in the witr, and at the nwazil and calamities in the five prayers.

When do you say the Dua?

The scholars differed as to the place of the Dua for qunoot, and they went on that to two opinions, which are:

The Shafi’is and Hanbalis said: that the Dua for qunoot takes place after standing straight from bowing the last kneel, after saying:

“Our Allah, to You be praise.”

The Hanafis and Malikis say:

It is permissible to perform Qunoot before or after the last kneeling, and it is preferre before kneeling and after reciting, without saying the takbeer.

Explanation of Dua for qunoot

The supplicant turns to Allah and praises him that all his creatures worship Him, pray to Him and prostrate themselves in order to please him, recognizing his holiness.

He wants to be merciful to Allah, and he fears the punishment of Allah and his wrath.

This is what is said about what is Dua for qunoot and when is it said There is a Dua report from one of the righteous that he was saying:

” O Allah, we help you and ask for your forgiveness, we praise you for the good and do not disbelieve you, we believe in you and submit to you”

explanation of the Dua: here the slave praises Allah, tells him that he has handed over the reins of his life to him,

that he asks Allah for forgiveness for the sins he has committed, and that he believes in Allah, and follows his way.

Wiping the face after Dua

The opinion of some jurists is that it is desirable to wipe the oblation on his face as soon as he finishes the Dua for qunoot, and this is the opinion of the Hanbalis.

Others were of the opinion that it is not necessary to wipe the face after the worshiper has finished his prayer.

because there is no evidence from the Sunnah for that.

And they measured the correctness of their saying that the worshiper does not wipe his face in the Dua that he says in his prayer.

Accordingly, it is not necessary to wipe the face in the qunoot as well.
