Surah nas

Surah nas revealed to the Prophet when he was suffering from a spell cast by a Jew named Labid bin Al-A’sam.

Surah nas contains six verses from the last Surahs in the Holy Quran and the second refuge after Surah Al Falaq.

It was revealed in Mecca to be a spell for The Prophet Muhammad(). Surah is inspired by the magic that affected The Prophet Muhammad() or anyone else.

The Messenger said, two men came towards me, one of them next to my head and the other at my feet.

One near my head asked the other: What’s wrong with this man? The latter replied that he was under the influence of magic.

The first man asked: “Who conjured it up?” the other replied, “Labid bin Al-A’sam, a man from Bani Zuraiq, from Jews and a hypocrite.

The first asked, “What material did he use?” The other replied, “A comb and the hair sticks to it. The first asked: Where (is it)?

Another man answered. ‘In a pollen skin of a male date palm, kept under a stone in the well of Dharwan’ ” So the Prophet went to that well and took out those things.

The water resembled the infusion of henna leaves and the date palms resembled devil’s heads.

Aisha, ask “O Allah’s Apostle? Why did you not display it (to the people)?

He said, “Since Allah cured me, I disliked to permit evil to unfold a few of the people, then he ordered that the property be crammed up with earth.

3-The concept of surah nas

Surah nas, opens with the point out of Allah because of the Lord of all people, the King of all people, and the God of all people.

4- Surah Al Nas translation

مِن شَرِّ ٱلۡوَسۡوَاسِ ٱلۡخَنَّاسِ

“From the evil of the lurking whisperer”

الَّذِي يُوَسْوِسُ فِي صُدُورِ النَّاسِ

who whispers into the hearts of Mankind”

مِنَ ٱلۡجِنَّةِ وَٱلنَّاسِ

“Of jinn and men.”

5- Explanation of Surah Al Nas

Allah’s Messenger (PBUH) is seeking shelter with Allah from the jinn and the evil eye till the Mu`wadhatain:

( the Surahs of Al-Falaq and Surah nas ) revealed.

When they revealed, he commenced to recite them and now no longer whatever else.

Lady `A’ishah (May Allah be thrilled with her) narrated that every time Allah’s Messenger() has become sick, he might recite Surat Al-Falaq and Surat Al-Nas after which blow his breath over his body.

The whisperer referred to inside the Surah is the devil, who whispers after which while he’s obeyed, he withdraws. Or, while one mentions Allah.

It was transmitted by Ibn-Abbas from the Messenger of Allah (S.A.W)

He said, “Satan remains upon the coronary heart of the Son of Adam, So whilst he recalls Allah, he (satan) withdraws, When he will become absentminded, he (satan) whispers.

6-Protect ourselves from envy and evil

Mankind is too weak to defy such whisperings unless relying upon and resorting to Allah the Almighty and seek refuge in Him from such whisperings and those delivering them.

These could be the whispers of Satan or his companions.

The Noble Quran is characterized by honesty, the eloquence of language, and the truth of expression.

The evil eye is mentioned in the Quran as a natural human behavior. Jealousy and hatred can arise when people don’t thank Allah for the food they have.

You should thank God for health, money, and children. We always remind God by Dua for protection from the evil eye.

Surah Al Falaq came to seek refuge from the evil, and other creations in the universe, and Surah Nas came to include seek refuge from a special evil and his fellow human beings.

Al-Mawwadhatayn contains Surah nas and Surah Al-Falaq, in which the Muslim seeks refuge with Allah from all evils.
